CNG MD is The Alternative Board's 'Member of the Year'

Here is what The Alternative Board had to say about Jacqui taking home her latest accolade:

Jacqui Hall Managing Director of CNG, the national commercial gas supplier, walked away with the ‘Member of the Year’ award from The Alternative Board (TAB) member event held last week.

Amongst many achievements, including recognition and awards for being a first class employer, Jacqui has guided her company through a protracted and difficult but ultimately successful MBO, taking 18 months.  She found the advice from her fellow TAB Board member invaluable and said “they have been my saving grace getting me through the process”.

TAB Members from Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Scotland and the Midlands attended the event and in true TAB style, enjoyed sharing experiences, advice and stories.  TAB events seek to combine practical advice for business improvement, with sessions to stimulate new ideas and thinking.

The Business Continuity Planning presentation gave members real food for thought and as a result of the session 75% of the audience identified the need to take some sort of action to reduce risk in their business.

Improving interactions with colleagues and customers was a theme arising from sessions on neuro-linguistic programming and Emotional Intelligence (EI).  As members reconvened for the afternoon ‘EI’ session run by Azure Consulting, the mood captured in the room was a balance of “cheerfulness” and “inspiration” which lead to lively discussions and debate about what triggers people’s ‘hot spots’ – crucial in improving success in sales and business development for SME business owners.

Wrapping up the day were entertaining thought-pieces from two business owners and TAB members, Caroline Burns of Time Recruitment and Rob Brooks of Wright & Pryce.
