Double appointment marks further growth

Harrogate-based CNG, the UK’s leading independent supplier of natural gas for business, continues to blaze an impressive growth trail as it welcomes a further two employees.

CNG promises another bumper year with the double appointment of Justine Harrison in Sales and Marketing and Clare Spencer as Energy Co-ordinator.

Justine came to CNG as a consultant, hired for a contract period to assist with some of the company’s sales function and she liked it so much she jumped at the offer of a permanent role within the company.

Clare’s background is in recruitment; her previous role led her to successful match several candidates to CNG over a period of around five years. Finally, another vacancy came up and she decided she liked the CNG culture so much she would make a career change and fill the vacancy herself. Her experience with candidates meant she had a valuable glimpse at how much people liked working for CNG and knew it was the perfect place to move on to.

With a raft of new blood within the business and a clear and focused plan for 2011, CNG is putting pay to rumours of turbulent times in the energy market. Through ongoing development of staff and sourcing the ideal candidates CNG is hoping to replicate last year’s tremendous success which included two award wins and being shortlisted for the National Customer Service Awards. The team also celebrated becoming the first ever commercial gas supplier to receive the ‘Putting the Customer First’ standard.

Justine commented: "I work with the sales and siteworks teams dealing with agents and direct customers on anything from supplying commercial gas, installing/exchanging meters or quoting for new gas installations. There is a really great feel to the office, which is great and every day is different".

Clare added: "I thoroughly enjoy working at CNG. Their employees are of huge importance to them and this shows in how well you are looked after here. My role within the site works team is so varied and busy, every day i am learning new things.”
