New name, better game
Harrogate Town and main sponsors CNG have strengthened their already successful relationship by formerly announcing that the Wetherby Road Ground is to be renamed as the CNG Stadium.
CNG, the UK’s leading independent supplier of natural gas to business, has been partnered with the club since last year. Hopes are high that the new name will herald a great season as the club works hard to secure promotion.
HTFC Chairman Bill Fotherby and CNG MD Jacqui Hall came together to celebrate the milestone with a toast at the ground before official signage, which is being designed and approved is erected.
Jacqui Hall, MD of CNG Ltd commented: “We are honoured that Harrogate Town has decided to call their ground the CNG Stadium. Seeing our brand at a team that we support is fantastic and we look forward to sharing the club’s continued success.”
Club Chairman Bill Fotherby commented: “Through my involvement with football clubs I have always sought to find a great sponsor, one happy to not only support the club but take the name of the ground.
"CNG stadium marks the start of something great for CNG and for the club."
