Strategic appointment boosts firm
Contract Natural Gas, the UK’s largest independent supplier of natural gas for business, has announced the appointment of Richard Atkinson as Sales and Marketing Director.
Richard brings more than a decade of expertise from the gas supply industry gleaned from positions with Mobil, The Gas Company (a highly successful start- up which was sold to Finnish energy corporation, Fortum) and Corona Energy, where he headed up Corporate Sales.
Attracted to CNG’s commitment to growth and success through impeccable customer service, Richard will head up the sales and marketing drive which follows on from significant investment in a new corporate identity.
Richard’s plans for his new role include expanding the CNG brand, further developing the firm’s reputation as a national player synonymous with excellence in customer service.
The role will see Richard’s time shared between a base in the West Midlands and the firm’s Harrogate premises. A key function will be getting out on the road and meeting with clients old and new face-to-face, in order to drive the business forward.
