CNG and The Prince's Trust - Celebrating incredible young people
15 November 2017
You may not know it, but CNG is a proud patron of The Prince’s Trust.
The Prince’s Trust helps disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track. The programmes run by The Trust give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work.
Our patronage so far has been focused on providing exposure to the workplace to some of the young people The Trust is helping. This takes the form of CV and interview skills workshops, developing some of our team into Business Mentors and working across the region with our local Trust team.
We were also recently delighted to sponsor the Community Impact Award at the regional Prince’s Trust Awards and we want to extend our sincere congratulations to all the incredible young people that have been, and continue to be celebrated.

Some of Team CNG went along to present an award and we were all astounded to hear so many inspirational stories. Wayne presented an award to an amazing team (Dearne Team 2) who helped create a community space when existing volunteers simply couldn’t do it alone. They helped transform over two kilometres of woodland, fields and pathways, creating a nature trail after removing over 100 bags of rubbish and litter. The site now has a local Facebook page where people have committed to maintaining the site and it has become a safe, wonderful space for local communities to enjoy.
We’re honoured to be a part of the work of The Trust in Yorkshire and we look forward to working with more young people in 2018.
