CNG teams up with The Soldier's Charity
5 January 2016
The cheque was collected in person by Major Barney Barnbrook, Regional Director for The Soldiers’ Charity and Chairman of North Yorkshire County Council Cllr BernardBateman. Monies were raised following a series of donations and contributions including CNG shares in a racehorse for the year, a sponsored race and several smaller collections.
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, gives a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their families, when they are in genuine need, by making grants through the Regiments and Corps. The principle of genuine need is fundamental – The Soldiers’ Charity gives a ‘hand up’ not a ‘hand out’ as well as supporting a wide range of specialist charities that sustain the British Army ‘family’ at home and around the world.
Major Barney Barnbrook said: “We are truly grateful for the support given to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity by CNG. Not only have they donated a considerable amount of money, they have become first-class advocates and ambassadors for the work that we undertake on behalf of soldiers, former soldiers and their families who find themselves in genuine need.”
CNG MD Jacqui Hall said: “We always work with causes close to our hearts and the work The Soldiers’ Charity does is something we should all be grateful for. We were delighted to support the great efforts being made here and further afield, to support our soldiers, veterans and their families.”
