Sales BDM

We are looking for a pro-active, target focused BDM to join the Sales team here at CNG. If you have professional sales skills; including a deep understanding of the sales process and the important role it plays in winning business, electricity supply product experience, effective risk management and commercial skills; including the ability to make instantaneous recommendations to commercial and finance on opportunities then please keep reading, as this opportunity might be a perfect fit for you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide-range of activities, including but not limited to; developing and implementing sales initiatives to increase sales and achieve targets, acting as ‘the face of CNG’ - owning and building long term relationships with brokers and key customers, providing them with a deep understanding of CNGs product frameworks in addition to the utilisation of MI tools to make evidenced and data driven decisions on the sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
 Develop and implement sales initiatives to increase sales and to achieve targets
 As the face of CNG, own and build long term relationships with brokers & key customers, be seen as the go to person for these accounts.
 Attend and oversee face-to-face on-site or off-site meetings with third parties and direct customers
 Provide a deep understanding of CNGs product frameworks when discussing these with clients and brokers
 Work closely with your dedicated Internal Sales Account Manager to ensure business is targeted effectively
 Oversee the whole sales process journey from prospecting through to renewal
 As the Product Owner for CNG Electricity, ensure the product stream performs effectively and all participants are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities
 Develop products and commission schemes to support the key business plan objectives
 Utilise CNG Insight, Salesforce plus other MI tools to make evidenced and data driven decisions on the sales pipeline
 Ensure successful introduction of new schemes, products and processes with all appropriate internal stakeholders
 Work closely with key business stakeholders to ensure the end-to-end sales journey is fluid and stakeholders are fully informed of any deal frameworks
 Work with all departments to improve sale processes that help optimise sales return
 Feedback on the market and competitors to the Business to ensure we maintain a competitive product
 Sell added value products to diversify CNGs risk

Person Specification:
 Professional sales skills: a deep understanding of the sales process and the important role it plays in winning business
 Electricity supply product experience essential; this role will own the introduction of the electricity product into the sales channel
 Confident communicator: ability to effectively present & discuss with all stakeholder levels
 Basic excel skills: the ability to carve up & interpret large data sets to support CNGs data driven approach.
 Excellent organisation skills: managing your time effectively ensuring account plans are met and time is balanced between your virtual office and face to face meetings.
 Commercial skills: ability to make instantaneous recommendations to commercial & finance on opportunities, levering all internal and external factors.
 Proactive mind set, on the front foot at all times.
 Risk Management: understanding of business risk ensuring sales are attained with this in mind to limit the amount of debt

Further Information:
 May require travel and overnight stays
 May require CNG representation at out of hours events
 This is a home-based role and flexible on location

The basic salary is competitive, and the role will include a car allowance and a quarterly commission scheme.
