Ahead of National Tree Week (23rd November – 1st December), we're excited to announce that we've renewed our partnership with our wonderful friends at The Woodland Trust and pledged to support their Nidd Gorge project.

Since 2013, our green-fingered CNGers have planted more than 6,000 trees across over 300 volunteer hours through a variety of projects, focused on the revitalisation, maintenance and future-proofing of vital new and ancient woodlands.

In 2016, we planted trees in memory of each person named on Harrogate’s cenotaph, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the WW1 Battle of the Somme. We’re also helping to fund the MOREwoods project, which enables landowners to apply for free trees to plant on their land.

Jacqui Hall, MD of CNG, says: ”We’ve absolutely loved our time supporting The Woodland Trust over the last six years, they’re a fantastic organisation to work with. Our CNGers just love getting stuck in, breathing fresh country air and doing some good for vital green spaces.

“The UK currently falls short of tree planting targets by 71 per cent so it’s more important than ever that we maintain our commitment to volunteering and help do our part to tackle climate change. We’re proud to be as hands on as possible through this partnership, which is why we renewed for another year!”
