Jacqui has been named Transformational Leader (North) in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and  Barclays’ Yorkshire Woman of the Year (Larger Business category) in the Celebrating Women in Business Awards.

The duo of wins further cements Jacqui’s notable impact on the business, but importantly her success in ensuring CNG continues to lead, not follow in the energy sector.

CNG has blazed a trail for over two decades, but more so in the last few years when it has become an exemplar for customer service, fairness and played a key role in increasing competition to improve energy access and standards for everyone.

The Barclays judges commented: “We were inspired by Jacqui’s career journey in a male dominated environment, working her way up to the top. Jacqui has been instrumental in nurturing the growth of the business since becoming Managing Director in 2006 to the business now turning over in excess of £400 million with more than 200 employees.”

Jacqui said: “Achieving success in these awards is a huge honour, but it’s important to note that there are more than 200 people who make CNG’s success possible and without them, we would not be able to transform this industry. We continue to seek ways to demystify energy, raise standards and ensure customers are supported in finding the best deal for them.”
